Oh lol, I mean sure, if you've got 1,000 users you can get away with it. Boosting your user count by 30% on a small hotel just looks ridiculous and sparks up investigations like this one. It definitely changes my opinion on the hotel, shame as there's some nice active development going on here. Rain back to his old ways! I wasn't excusing it, I thought I made it clear that you could believe what you wanted to believe though I was just giving you my outlook on the particular subject.

I only have access to the dev server so I couldn't tell you for sure regardless. My honest opinion on it whether I work there or not (it doesn't benefit me in the least how many users play the retro) is that the people who make a big fuss about something like this as if it were threatening to their lifespan (seriously, who cares?) are the ones that piss me off the most because it's kinda annoying to hear someone butthurt about the user count of a hotel in which they could easily close the client, but they proceed to pester about the hotel spouting nonsense as if they're Albert Einstein rethinking Quantum Theory.

Your opinon and feelings on this issue is irrelevant and I couldn't care less. The point of the matter is that the hotel user count does not directly represent the amount of real humans playing the hotel. This shows that in someway habsay is not honest. By cheating habsay is garnering more users in an illegitimate fashion because habsay is representing that the hotel is more popular than it really is. To which degree, whether it be 30% or 5% or 70% is, once again, to get it through ur skull, irrelevant. The point is, its a false representation.

No, you gave me an array of excuses.
1) but I couldn't say it'd be the first hotel I've seen like that. Just going off counting the navigator would produce me results like 200 users when the website says 500 (Boon).
2)The emulator considers every TCP client connected a user online (which is why you see high numbers when we get flooded) so that could be another link.
3)Nevertheless an online count means less to me than whether someone decides on playing because of it.

Also, you say I'm spouting nonsense? No, you're just mad I did the math which brought up red flags to prove there was something more going on, and you're even more mad I got the truth. Furthermore, lets not forget this brings into question as to whether you as a developer are legitmate. You say you have server access, I also will ASSUME that you emulator access. So logically you have access to the ;about command where the code usercount*=1.3 is home to.

Goodness, usercount*1.3 is nobodys choice but my own. It's just to get people online. I don't hide it, nor should I try. I think you'll find that many hotels boost their numbers.
