I would have to agree when I first played retros , I loved how they were old version of habbo and they offered free credits, and I like how everything is free on retros because you don't need to worry in wasting real money and if you get scammed it won't matter. I got scammed 200c on habbo which I bought and I literally cried.
If this is real, Aaron could use this to his potential, He can totally get a new program, End of phoenix, And if he decides to share revenue and "the lot" Retro's would be better than Habbo, and over time, Aaron would end up becoming part of Sulake. Original Habbo's being there purpose, and the retro's on the side. But both being owned by Sulake.

So lets say he takes it.
Pro for him and $.
Pro for retro's cause we will all end up having access to all of habbo's shit.
Ease of access and updating, No more waiting for cracked swf's, get it right from the original source.
Retro's will end up having all the latest and latest, homes, EVERYTHING basically... >.>
That is so sad.. Bobbamerkkets ftw.<3

You think Su-la-ke's worst threat, Retros will be allowed? Erm no? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

They wouldn't hire Aaron as apart of Su-la-ke, If anything he is a massive threat towards Su-la-ke and when Phoenix is down, 85% of the retros are gone.

Don't think it that will be the end of retros, I think people will start developing there own emulators , some retro owners are as bad as sulake they have hack wars over a little virtual game and they DDos and that , this is what money does to people.

I have to fight back when being attacked. I don't feel bad about it. It's self-defense. People wont start to develop their own emulators. Let's be honest. Who is actulley willing to learn in the Habbo Section? and who can code? I say about 1 in 50 people in the Habbo Section are putting in the effort. That's the thing, I see 1,000's viewing it but only 20 odd contributing.

My Contribution: Learning PHP, Developing a Content Management System. It's not good. But I'm putting in the effort.

I understand your concerns but people are going to realize when it's time to stop being spoon fed and get up from your backsides and learn how to code a scripting language.

I doubt if Aaron becomes part of Habbo, he will risk his job to help retros, js.

If Aaron stops Phoenix there will be an outbreak with people begging for refunds LOL
They should understand why it is bad for buying a closed source emulator in the first place , chances of it being shut down. Plus If I was Aaron , I wouldn't refund the licence.

Aaron's work has nothing to do with Sulake, in fact - what he does not relate to Sulake's work in any way. He made an emulator, not the original. I'm also pretty sure Habbo's server is in Java.

I doubt he will ever work for Sulake, not only that - but Sulake would never own retros LOL

To answer some of the previous posts. Aaron won't likely join Sulake and Sulake won't allow retros. If anything they might sell small-server softwares and let people host small hotels that only can handle 5-30 people for your friends to join in. Note, i said sell. Somewhat like minecraft, except they'll most likely have a limitation if they are to ever do that.

And i have to agree with DeveloperX. If phoenix goes down over 80% of the hotels go down aswell. Being spoonfed is negative and learning the language to make their own emulator takes too much of a hassle for most. Some go the PHP way and doesn't bother learn C#, Java, C++ or other languages you might develop an emu in. Like me, i don't bother learn C# even though i think open-source emulators are way better as you can decide what features you want to keep in it.

Good luck in finding friends.
Have to be serious there like 100's maybe thousands of people who have a phoenix licence and I for one personally wouldn't even be bothered to refund because it would be too time consuming and Navigation I know it would be hard on Aaron and that why I think he would choose not to refund licence holders if Phoenix went down.

To be honest, I don't like the sound of this at all. I'm going to see what I can do to defend my hotel from any action that would be taken.

I also forgot to mention, Habbo's server is in java, earlier stages it was in a java+C#/C++ stage. For those nubs that think they are using emulators, they don't. They use something called a game server. Just to clear that out.. I think this thread needs someone to put it back ontopic tho. Some posts are on their way offtopic..

I personally am lucky to have my hotels VPS offshore for now. But if phoenix were to be taken down, i'd have to go back to Uber if i do not wish to pay more cash for an emulator. I doubt sulake will get phoenix's license server, and if they do it'll take some time. Even then i bet Aaron would get a new server for the licensing part, and probably offshore aswell. Aaron won't give up easily and that's a fact.

Just to clear a few things up, since everybody seems to be mentioning Phoenix in this thread.

There are already plans in-place for if anything happens, Phoenix licence holders won't lose anything, they will benefit from Sulake if they make a move on Phoenix.

A few questions,

1) What are those plans?
2) How would we benefit?
