mysql hangs on start services, installtion

No, closing and ending the task would finish the installation uncomplete. Instead, do the following:

1. End the installation task.
2. Uninstall MySQL, check your C:\ and browse through Program Files (x86) and the normal one if there are any remnant files the MySQL installation left.
3. Go to
   You must be registered for see links
   and download the MySQL Server... then install as if it's a new MySQL setup. I recommend you choose Typical setup.

Unable to get out of an incomplete installation of mySQL only means one thing. You have to rebuild your VPS; or simply get everything wiped like formatting a computer. Then install mySQL from
