Congrats on the big step forward. I think the theme is kinda generic but everything seems good.
Maybe replace the current black / dark areas with the old theme's blue / dark blue color palette

Also, don't forget to populate the footer

The images in the shoutbox (yes I know it's toggleable but still) are going to cause a problem eventually, is there a way to allow only certain groups' (maybe make a trusted group or something) images render and force the rest to be links? If not, maybe disable it completely

The theme isn't bad once you start using it more. Footer needs updated sometime but otherwise XF2 is seems smoother
