UberCMS has more plugins and is far more addressed with features. RevCMS however supports user-friendly plugins and is fairly stable, but does not have many features and is very simple. The themes it came with (Priv, Habbo) are terrible. RevCMS is far from perfect, but from my perspective it's decent for what users want it for.

For the discussion on what is the BEST or even Better CMS. I would have to choose Revolution CMS with a few code modifications.

Reasons for picking RevolutionCMS > UberCMS
  1. Smaller and Secure (w\code modifications)
  2. Theme-ing. ( UberCMS was not built to use themes only to mimic habbo.com )
  3. Community Plugins, Tutorials, and Help
  4. RevolutionCMS was actually completed by Kryptos. i am pretty sure meth0d stopped halfway when it was leaked. others have "finished" it.
  5. RevolutionCMS is as simple and easy.
Some Notes:
  • Speed between RevolutionCMS and UberCMS does not matter they both compile fast enough.
  • Most people count the speed that the html, css and images take to load that isn't the cms that is the template or design of the cms

Rev is by far the best cms I have ever really came across, its easy to find files and everything is where you want it to be, with uber you have to change a bunch of shit and sometimes none of it works, Rev also has a template system that I really love, and if it wasnt for that, we wouldn't be seeing an rev releases anymore. What's the point of having uber or shock when you can convert them to rev anyway?

In my opinion, you should think about a coldfusion CMS. It's easy to manage, easy to script. And really easy to maintenance. But that's only my opinion, i make coldfusion CMS's from scratch.

//Edit

I hear people who are talking about "RevCMS" Being the best CMS around.

RevCMS is shit. SwiftCMS is shit, and almost all other's CMSés that are released are shit. People nowadays won't release anything that function's a 100%. Because they want money for it, (Cheepskeeters).

My opinion is still, make a coldfusion CMS. It's almost impossible to hack (Only if you allow them by creating exploit's that can be simply avoided tho). It took 3 days for me, to code an fully CMS.

But i'm quitting the New Crypto, as it is still bugged like shit. What's the best R63B Emulator around..?

It`s easy as fuck to make your own CMS "What they say", just change the images and text then claim it to be yours! Or if you want it to be yours, you recode the lot!

I would say the best cms is UBERCMS 2.0 since its exploit free and would recommend it to use if your opening a hotel starting from small to get good decent users with out being hacked.

the one released originally had an Exploit in the HK, delete the file called getdoc.php or something like that. :)

It depends on what you are trying to achieve.
Most noobs would use Rev as its easy to understand and use, along with the fact it can be obtained with very minimal bugs.
However if you are experienced you would use something such as Uber as it can be heavily edited to a high standard to reach the exact requirements for your hotel.

Even though
Uber requires massive amounts of editing to achieve what Rev can at the quality it can. Uber is old, just because something is easy doesn't make it bad. I create my own work to use, but used to base on Rev for a framework, so Rev is the best in my opinion. Now I'm at coding from scratch & its honestly the best thing you could do for your hotel.

After using Rev recently on my hotels, Rev is easily my favorite one now.
  • Fast
  • Easy to code for
  • Simple
  • Clean

@Westy To have a better cms, you can code your own core and work your way up because it would be secured and efficient to use plus loads faster than Uber and rev. It's not hard or easy as it is in the middle and it does take time to code it from scratch to fit with your own design and other aspect of coding you could add. Plus it is more organised when you code your own from scratch. Just a opinon.
