I'd take a screenshot and show you but obviously I can't because I'd have to print screen.

Download and find out for yourself when you press Prt Scr

Is it where you draw like a rectangle and select area?

There was a neat Ubuntu package that I've used that lets you record your screen via the terminal (pre-determined width, heigh, length, etc) and it produced a .gif and saved it to a certain directory. It would be super-neat if you implemented that somehow in a simpler way, I don't know of any screen-shot program that does that.
Gyazo does it.

I love Lightshot, others might even like Gyazo or Droplr or any other because they're a simple, efficient, and fast way to print your screen so you can show friends what you see at the present time - it can be handy when giving tutorials/tips to friends on coding etc especially with the highlight/text overlay options you can use.

  • Something that's extremely simple
  • Custom FTP
  • Ability to upload to a variety of hosts
  • OAuth support for Dropbox
  • Plugin support (so we can add custom sites)
