Hello all who's reading this, I recently got the urge to setup a retro (again!) and was looking out for options.

I wanna get an opinion for the best CMS, emulator and client around. I want to build this play test retro fully on a Linux VM.

Any tips or suggestions? Where should I start?

My advice follow the tutorial object has as if I’m aware that’s the most up to date system etc.

You're right, do follow Object's tutorial. It's straightforward. If you take your time working through each step you'll succeed with ease. Another advantage to this is any troubleshooting you need to do, the answers are pretty much all within the comments!
