Text based Mafia MMO - Modern Mafia

Modern Mafia is an oldskool text based mafia MMO game.

The quest of the game is to become the toughest gangster in the city, highest ranked, wealthiest, most powerful.

• You can commit crimes, steal cars and commit organised crimes with other users to rank up and earn cash.
• You can gamble at casinos to become rich or poor.
• You can own your own casino.
• You can fight to the top by killing users, or protect yourself with bodyguards to stay at the top.
• There are crews in the game, these are like "gangs" you can own property and casinos to become the most successful crew.

There are plenty of features to keep you busy, and I am adding more. I am open to suggestions.

I'm interested in text based games, just not these type of text based game from this engine in particular, simply because you can get killed and have to start completely over. If you make a text based game like

It would get boring living forever, plus points and money in the swissbank can be retrived if you die.

The problem is only but 2 of those types of text based games, using that engine are successful. All the successful text based games just have you go to the hospital for a certain period of time.

Yes, we have a hospital if people are unsuccessful at killing you.
Its a good concept, i like it, I may make it that way. However, you have to lose something if you die.

the login was enough to put me off. only way for it to be better for me is updated graphics

Looks like a really intuitive game, just wish there were more people to play.

Maybe you could organise some people to log in at once and gamble? Trynna finesse some kids.

Think i will organise an event and give out cash, or do a last man standing event.

Im aware the login image needs changing, its merely a placeholder.
as i said in the topic it needs some love.

on a side note if somebody wants to volunteer and make a new index image, go ahead.
im not the best of creative graphic artists.

Just wouldn't be the same in light colours

I checked out the site, it's a decent online browser based game, I owned a browser based racing game last month, but I closed it, because it wasn't getting much traffic.

Thank you for giving it a go, i'll sort that.
I think its time to fix a few bugs.
The index image really needs doing, I will give that a try, also going to add Last Active on players profiles.
it's about time I actually do something with this project.

The main problem with games like this is they're oldskool, I remember playing these type of games in school in ICT.
Finding a player base for something like this can be a pain, but its staying up as the webserver is paid off for a good few months.

I've started changing the design layout to be easier on your eyes the left menu is finished, forums are finished. Much more to do tomorrow as I have to go though every page and update them ugly tables.

Small bug: When you register doesn't send you to a login screen or into the client. It just reloads the register page, looking like an error. Had to click the login button and manually login.

Thank you, the login/register is being re-made soon, I will make sure it redirects and autofills your username.

Played for a couple days, really good fun! Going to give it a break for a while now and return after your changes/updates have been done, had fun but atm I mainly just make a lot of money, and purposely lose it ro regain it, as that seems like the most 'fun', needs some more activities!

Will be playing again soon, just isn't a great deal to do once you're 'rich' (3bn is probably not rich but yea).
