Swift is going open source!

So yeah, one of the big announcements at WWDC yesterday was that Swift, Apple's new in-house programming language is going open source this year. Exciting news.
What are you thoughts on this?

Swift is Apple's in house programming language - them open sourcing it means you will not need an OSX machine to run Swift code.
