I've been around the community for years and I would like to extend my services to others who would like to have a retro. I would fully install the proper things that you would need to run your retro correctly.

Such as:

• Plus Emulator or Arcturus Emulator or Any Phoenix Edit (Not Recommended)
• RevCMS (Any Theme) or UberCMS
• IIS - Navicat - PHPMyAdmin (Navicat is recommended)

I also can setup Shoutcast server's for you so you can have your own radio.

Please note you must provide your own VPS, Proxy, and Domain.

If there is any issues regarding missing SQL or SQL error's I would be more then happy to fix and work them out for you. Even fix Html bugs and fulfill any other requests.

I just asking for my services would be $5 for basic support and $10 for advanced support. Basic support would give you the basic setup with CMS and emulator connecting to client. The Advanced support would give you a fully working retro full support until your ready to go and add stuff on your own includes, (Logo, Theme support, Top site banner, and limited catalogue support. I would prefer to do all talking on devbest PM's just to make sure everything is verified.

Process takes about 30 minutes to - 2 hours. Depends on anything that occurs and the service you want.

I'm going to make my own but I'm having trouble with things mysql related at this stage; specifically not being able to connect through the mysql/tmp/sock or having a missing PID file (which I think I fixed). Can you help me figure out why my socket it isn't being processed and/or where it should be read from? I have downloaded the MySQL community server more than once, and after the installation, the wizard just disappears, takes up 500-1.2gb of my memory and I have no files, applications or a launchable interface to add info to. Without a database to store user info/passwords from my site in, I'm not sure how I can begin to move forward. Could I use phpmyadmin as an alternative or do I need it as well? I had it connected to my localhost before I switched locations. I have now configured a new localhost set up along with Xamp. Before I move to a domain, I need a working system in place to store my user/catalogue information in and test functioning content. Your help is still of value and we can talk prices if you have solutions for some of the questions i just posed.

I just set up a password for xamp on my localhost. MySQL is next, and through there, I'm hoping to be able to access PHPmyadmin and begin to configure the database. I mainly want to know if I'm headed in the right direction & if I'm not, how I can get there. I also want to approach the web pages differently, straying away from popular CMS designs. Is plusemu basically what everyone else uses, with groups/badges/room promotion etc? I still wouldn't be able to operate the hotel & go back in to make regular updates/add new ltds/control mod abilities etc. & I'd still like to get in contact with you somehow. I've been on forums, in my files or on the web trying to solve problems almost non stop for the past few weeks if not approaching months and retros for just as long prior to embarking on this journey of creating my own. And this is my main goal/the only thing i'm focused on right now. Maybe PM & from there, Skype or any other relevant messenger app? I have a few emulators already: including plus i think, Arcturus & Gold Tree. I'm more worried about setting up the working environment around it. I appreciate your post & Much love

First step setting up IIS:


when logging into the vps you will get this popping up

click add roles, click next and then click

then you will have to check box the following: ASP.NET, .NET Extensibility & IIS 6 Management Compatibility
click next and click Install. you will then have a page looking like this.

and boom you have setup IIS i would recomend restarting the VPS before moving on but you dont have to.




Second step

and change The HostPort to your proxy port if you dont have a proxy its port 30000
and change the HostIp to your proxy ip if you dont have a proxy its your VPS ip.
and you are done with the cms setup.

go to PlusEMU/Bin/Debug/ like this

and open config in notepad++
The change the following below
"VpsIp" To the VPS ip adress,
"MysqlPassword" To your Mysql

Then Emulator is sorted but dont start it yet. you have to sort the Swfs first!

and open with notepad++ external_variables
Then change "

goto control panel and then firewall and advanced settings like this

then goto inbound rules and click new rule..

Then Click port.
and put in the bar 3306, 30000, like this EDIT: dont add 30001 thats the MUS Port.

Then just click next until you can name it and name it whatever you want like this

Now open your emulator in PlueEMU/bin/debug/ Open Plus Emulator




You are now done with your hotel setup.
