Hi guys, I recently got back in touch with an old friend & they would like to reopen a retro that they previously owned, however they require help.

I am looking for somebody experienced who can give them a clean, stable and reliable retro setup to help them achieve their dream of reopening the hotel in which they previously owned.

VPS, domain & proxy will be provided - we just need someone who can do the job right.

Requirements:
  • CMS setup fully working with a usable housekeeping.
  • Client setup with clean user-interface (they want to use their logo on loading screen).
  • All basic/known bugs to be repaired or removed to ensure stability on opening.
  • Latest clothes to-date to be available in-game.
  • Latest furniture to-date to be available in-game.

Payment for successful completion of the list above can be discussed, I am not looking for time-wasters.

I want somebody who knows the ins and outs of retros and can get this done both quickly and properly.
If this is something that interests you, please reply below with any relevant information/experience.

The only reason I am writing the thread and not them is because they don't use Devbest.

Thanks in advance.

Most of these things can be done in about 1-2 hours.

The only thing that will take some time is getting the furniture to be up to date since the latest "free" pack is only updated till 2023.

Don't get scammed buying setups it shouldn't go over 50$ for this kind of setup. (And even 50$ is a decent chunk of money)

It can honestly be achieved yourself/themself just following free tutorials save yourself some money and gain some experience as it will come in handy in the future knowing how your hotel works/runs etc.

Best of luck

I can setup hotels etc to bare minimum already, I just can't add furni/clothes, so I'd rather let someone who can give my friend exactly what they need instead of me wasting their time.

Cheaping out on the initial setup by limiting someone to less than $50 (which is practically nothing) for the requirements asked, is silly. If someone expects any kind of quality for 50 or below, they're out of touch with reality, or someone is in desperate need of money if they'd provide anything that can compete with any of the page 1 hotels on findretros (unless we're talking selling stolen or leaked things), so it's kinda portraying the wrong image here, sure if you're willing to do it all for $50 then they and the rest of the retro community lucky, but I highly doubt that anyone can provide what they ask within 1 or tops 2 hours, leaving them with a completely ready to open and competing hotel.

The requirement's themselves are pretty vague, asking for a client with a "clean interface" could mean a bunch, does it suggest clean as in base nitro, or clean as in a modified user interface, to mach a certain style.

Updated clothing, as in 1:1 with official habbo? or or we talking a blend of official habbo and retros? cus I'm pretty sure majority of hotel owners / users wouldn't know what's official and what isn't - potentially leaving them to being unsatisfied with the end result by having multiple hundreds less clothing pieces, than most other hotels.

Getting some1 to make an up2date catalog + eventually sorting it to the liking of the owners / their vision for regarding economy for less than $100 (which is already insanely low) is once again either some one selling a "stolen" catalog or an updated catalog, with a bunch wrong interactions, stack height, sitable, layable, walkable furniture.

Then to the fixing of bugs, a well known issue with Arcturus is how bad the wireds are, how they fairly often goes out of sync just to name a pretty annoying issue - I mean Morningstar is okay for being free, but I'm sure the people that currently owns a serious hotel, can name a bunch of bugs, that they've either paid to have fixed, or purchased a plugin as a work around to accommodate certain obstacles - again which would leave you far beyond 50$.

I completely agree how ever with the people suggestion that the owners could put in the time themselves in order to save a bunch, Puffins base, base nitro and MS 3.5.x will give you a good foundation, and then supply the missing furniture with Brans releases, and if you're lucky pay someone $20 for some updated clothing.

In such case they've only spent $20 and perhaps the less fun part, a few weeks (without proper coding experience, I'd say more than a month, with multiple hours put in a day) to have a some what entertaining hotel - without any major fixes that is.

Nothing is set in stone yet, as last resort I will do this myself. As mentioned previously, it isn't for me, it's for an old friend that I managed to reconnect with through Discord, they don't use Devbest and have been out of the scene ownership wise for quite some time.

Also no exact price was ever set - if I was asking for this to be done for myself, the work would have to be more than adequate and I certainly wouldn't cheap out on payment, granted it was completed to a good standard. I may seem lazy not already doing this myself - truth is, I can build retros, that's the height of it, I wouldn't be so good when it comes to modifying client user-interface and what not, it's not something I have spent time to learn as of yet, therefore I wouldn't feel comfortable making any false-promises and then eventually letting my friend down, essentially that just isn't me.

I have a running hotel on localhost, it also already does use the catalogue which Puffin provided, but yes my description was slightly vague - I believe the friend in question would like to be as close to Habbo 1:1 wise when it comes to the clothing and furniture.

All responses are appreciated, maybe I'll spend some time learning new things and furthering my knowledge with Nitro so that I can complete the requests myself, to a professional standard, I don't mean to sound fussy, but I wouldn't even consider opening a hotel if I felt that it'll just be exactly the same as everybody else's (no offence to existing hotels) I just like originality and I think that's why some of the hotels that open and close don't last, because they don't withhold the experience to differentiate themselves the way they'd like too - leading to them getting potentially scammed or let down by somebody who portrays to know how to accomplish these things.
