PS5 External Storage

Basically I own the Digital PS5 and I have used up all my storage. I have an alternative option for external storage but was wondering if anyone knows what storage devices/hard drives are compatible as external storage on the PS5 as I am unsure what to buy incase it isn’t compatible.

It sounds like any external hard drive that allows you to connect via USB should do the trick. Ideally you'll want an SSD (over a HDD) for better performance. Although, it seems that you can only load PS4 (and not PS5) games on the external drive.

Yeah I thought it was only for transferring games but apparently can have external storage to transfer current games/keep it plugged in for extra storage.
