by htdocs files you probably mean a cms (content management system) aka the website to put in the htdocs folder. here is a cms i recommend which is great for beginners. to setup use winrar to extract or just copy over all the files within the folder that you downloaded and not the folder itself into the htdocs. i think you understand what im saying and then open up app > management > config.php preferably with notepad+ and edit the mysql details to yours and in your case set the hotel url as localhost. if u need any more assistance just let me know :p

TIP: make sure you have both apache and mysql turned on in the xampp control panel and set a mysql root password when you go to

and if you didnt set a pass then just leave the password part in the cms config.php file blank
