Hello everyone, We've just opened up a new Habbo retro Hotel! We're looking to do a bunch of cool events and basically recreate older Habbo Retro Public rooms (Like the Welcome Lounge, Infobus etc)

People that are brand new to the hotel are rewarded with 500 diamonds to buy rare items, We're mainly focusing on rewarding players with diamonds instead of making them micro transactions. So there will be no purchaseable items with real money. If anyone has any questions feel free to reach out down below!

What do you mean no micro transactions? All abit confusing considering you can buy diamonds from the shop but need to spend $15 to get the ‘Nara Points’, and what about the economy? 100,000 credits is included in the pack which is wild to me. In my eyes the economy in a hotel is one of the most important things within the hotel, take Hablush for example.

Anyways good luck with the hotel.

This is a project that's in the work, for now it allows you to use code "NARA2024" to get 15 Nara Points. We're trying to rework it so we can add packages to that Store where u can use points you get by having playtime in the hotel to buy certain packs.

Sorry for the confusion.

Don’t you think this should be implemented before actually opening? A lot of hotels open nowadays with none of the key foundations built, big reason why most fail.

I don’t mean to sound rude so don’t take it like that, just constructive criticism.

Typical stock retro with a thread created too early in its development- you have nothing to show off right now tbh
You have a long way to go- but I have a couple of pointers if you want to head in the right direction

First of all, you're using a really outdated catalog- a newer version of it (about 6 months old now) was leaked and can be found on google by searching myBoBBa Catalog (i wont link it, as its on another retro dev forum). Having up-to-date furniture is very important so you might as well use it (and anyone using it has my blessing to do so, leaks are part of retros xD)

If you really want to foster an 'earn your way' type of economy then you should look into introducing some automatic rewards for single and multiplayer games, or other "busy" distractions to keep people engaged and earning fairly rather than relying on actual hosted events (which can sometimes be hard to populate even when you're peaking 20+ online).

Right away this gives your first batch users something to do, while your hotel grows (and it will likely grow slowly as is the nature of stock retros) because in reality, you aren't going to be able to host any substantial events to foster the type of earn your way system you want to achieve at the moment, not to say it can't happen in the future.

Id look into making your systems achievement based as well, users love collecting achievements and they can be easily made in the database and handed out with the free Krews wired pack. There are lots of excellent plugins and add-ons to further enhance users experience on your hotel as well.

While I understand want to run a a clean hotel, expenses for new features, unless you're a skilled developer yourself, really pile up. Going on over 2 years now I have over four thousand invested. I'd say bringing in an income, if you cannot afford to take on these expenses yourself, should be top of mind and you should really figure out how to generate an income to become self-sustaining without microtranctioning the hell out of everything. Ill probably get some criticism for that one, but its the truth.

I really appreciate this advice and I won't take it as rude don't worry! I'll look into some more things before I'll start promoting it more. Thanks a lot :3
