Mimicking other users who has purchasable clothing copies over clothing they don't own

This may sound kinda complicated and isn't a major issue however I noticed that clothing which users can purchase from the catalog and then wear can be mimicked by other users. The clothing piece won't save in there inventory but still shows until they attempt changing again. Most other retros which offer purchasable clothing - when attempting to copy that piece of clothing in which the user doesn't own it replaces it with a different clothing item.

Is this possible and if so how?

I don't know of any retros that will replace it with another clothing article if they don't own it? This is custom coded into the mimic command , what retros are you referring to?

Habboon does this, if I try to mimic somebody with a crown, it’ll put some beanie on my head.
