Mercury Help PLease!

Okay so im in the process of setting up a new hotel, I'm trying to use Mercury Emulator V2.3 i BELIEVE. and I tried to run the emu however i get the 'cannot connect to server error' so upon digging I came across instructions how to fix it via Visual Studio. However once I edit it it and go to 'rebuild solution' it brings back errors and won't save.. how do I fix this?

i can fix it for you when you boot up emu does it say remote server cannot connect
or something like thtta

What I did was copy replace Debug with x86 -> Debug and it booted if I remember right.
