Yes if they have a cheap ass vps it takes a while to loading. Same if you live in South America and your vps is hosted in Japan.

Comparing speed not using the same conditions to make yours look better, is misleading and plain narcissistic when trying to compare it with other peoples work.
Spend more time focusing on your own work than what other people are doing.
Minus that, the responsiveness when changing pages does look fast and nice, and I especially like the catalog editor. That's something I've always wanted to add just never had the patients or time to do it myself.
