I couldn't find any topic specifically about it, so I decided to post it.
Could anyone explain how Habbo Retros work (kind of technologies usually needed for them to work properly - and types of frameworks, and for what - why are they needed and what they do, etc)?

Thank you very much for reading, I appreciate if anyone can explain it.

Honestly, It really depends on what you want to use. There's a tutorial for an example if you want to reference that and do a little research. (3 Parts)

Every played an old video game on a emulator? One I remember is "Dolphin Emu" that I believe emulated GameCube games.
Kinda like that with extra steps.

Generally, the actual information (furniture, clothing, assets, etc) is hosted on a server, then an emulator is coded that takes all that information and begins to emulate it using the Habbo assets that are hosted.
Because Habbo is an online game that requires accounts and being able to connect with other people across the world, a database is required. The database stores all user accounts, rooms, etc.

That's a very simple answer.
