Hello Devbest...

It's been three days since my new iPhone 5 was locked the first six times it was locked for a few minutes and then it totally locked my iPhone. Now I've first did some research on Google on how to possibly get this fixed and the first fix was to connect to iTunes and to do a reset via iTunes but when I plug my cable to my computer and to my iPhone then it doesn't do anything it doesn't charge either via my computter. But it does charge via my charger block and it doesn't make a sound either that I've put the cable in to my telephone.

Then I've tried to track my iPhone but that was unfortunately off and that's pretty fucked up - And last off I've tried the Siri method and that didn't help either because I don't have it enabled in the lockscreen options. So now is the question what do we do.. because I'm going to Amsterdam tommorow to the Apple store to see if they are technical enough to help me out with it - I've called the iPhone techhnical support and they where not able to help me unless I had a credit card that I was able to give them so they can charge me 40$ for one time telephone support and that sucked.

They told me that if they where going to charge me that they where able to help me in the Apple store and that I am able to use the bank card there, so what do you guys advice me because I'm currently low on money and I am in need of a telephone maybe one of you is able to help me anyway possible because a telephone for me is really necessary...

It's not about social media but it's about me being called by my old school, by my work and so many other contacts that I recieve important calls from that are currently missing because I simply don't have a telehone to reach them. I have tried to ask friends to lend me a telephone but unortunatly no luck at all!

Please help me :'(

I have no clue what you're talking about when you're saying ''DFU Mode'' I'm a first time Apple user so I'm going to assume no.

Here are the steps to put your phone into DFU mode:
Step 1: Connect your iPhone or iPad with your PC or Mac and make sure iTunes is running
Step 2: Switch off your iPhone by holding Power button and slide to power off
Step 3: Hold the power button for 3 seconds
Step 4: Press and hold the Home and Power (sleep/wake) buttons for sometime (10 seconds)
Step 5: After this, release the Power button but keep the Home button pressed for 15 seconds
Step 6: This puts the iPhone in DFU mode. The screen remains black.
Step 7: When you connect your iPhone to iTunes, a popup tells you that iTunes has detected an iPhone in DFU mode.

This should allow you to use the backup and restore options in iTunes.

Useless because it reboots my telephone and it shows a red music sign saying iTunes with a cable showing up and it doesn't do anything else than that... any other things?

That does not help because when I plug the cable in my telephone and in to my computer and iTunes is running then it doesn't load up all the shit it does and it just doesn't help me at all. I may just go to the apple store they are tehical enough probably to fix this. So if there are other options then please say so and if not then I\ll have to ask you guys for a real favor here because it's it's so had for me to get a new one when I don't have money to afford a new one because I would if I had.

What happens once you connect your iPhone to your computer with iTunes? Be sure your USB port is the right version, and there isn't any errors with your charger. Some non-verified apple chargers won't work when connected to computers, and usually not even bases.

When you open iTunes, does it show your phone in the top left ? My computer stopped making notifications once I jailbroke it, but it's still viewable on iTunes in the top left.

Does your iPhone have any type of charge? Try different USB ports - and uninstall all Apple products on your PC and re-install them.

Man I hope this works because I'll be bummed because I am bummed already :'(

Well good news guys!

So I went to the Apple store today in Amsterdam and I had to make like a appointment with one of the technical workers there and I was basically the first one that was next so I explained the guy what happened and that I can't charge my phone anymore and that I can't connect to iTunes either anymore with this cable and so he explained that my cable may just not work anymore and that I'll have to probably buy a new one and told me that he was going to factory reset it for me.

He grabbed his Macbook with his USB cable connected it to my telephone along to this Macbook and started resettinng it then walked away and the last thing he told me was to keep an eye on it because I was able to unplug the cable once the reset was done.

But there is a but, I wanted to ask him if I'm able to buy a charger cable or a charger block along with a cable here because my cable is broke the reason why it woulnd't charge anymore when I came home from the Apple store and the reason why it wouldn't connect to iTunes or my computer anymore either. Anyhow my question was is there any other method to still charge my iPhone 5 for today untill I've bought a new one tommorow? Any answer / tip is appreciated!

Thanks but there's no need for that comment no more as readed above I went to the Apple store in Amsterdam and they helped me out and resetted it for me the problem was basically my USB cable and now I need to know for now how I can charge my phone without any cables because I'll have to buy a new one but the stores are closed because it's already 10 'o clock in the evening.

So, a factory reset wasn't actually required? With your current charger, if it isn't literally snapped, you can try wiggling the cable until a connection is made. Or bend the cable around the device, much like this faggot:
