Extensive car games

Does anyone know games where you can extensively edit cars? Redline is boring and is missing some parts, and NFS Pro street isn't realistic. I'm looking for games where you can edit Suspension (Ride height, camber, etc.) Transmissions, Engines, and pretty much every part of a car there is.

I have an entire hard drive just for racing games and so far none of them have fulfilled this need.

I was going to say Grand Theft Auto but yea you can't edit your cars and cars is not the aim of the game. Still the physics are good.
