Solved it I think...
MySQL Strict Mode was on... turning it off seemed to have worked.
It also solved a lot of other issues too!
For future reference (anyone else with this problem) please turn Strict Mode off using:
SET@@global.sql_mode ='';

Please, for the love of chocolate, use IIS. Forget about XAMPP.
Go and have a look at the tutorials thread. There are some tutorials about this. Download Sledmore's PlusEMU edit, plus SWFs. RevCMS would also be a good starting point for a CMS.
At the end of the day, there is already a thread about PlusEMU support, where security fixes get posted regularly. :) It just takes a few minutes to read through all the posts. Sledmore and others try to post security fixes as soon as they are discovered.

If you go into developer mode in your browser (usually f12) it should tell you where the problem lies. Have you edited your external texts, overide texts and make sure it all links up correctly?
Okay....
So now look in your skin folder, and make sure there is a game.php. it may be called client.php. If it is, then rename it to game.php or point your 'enter hotel' buttons to /client.
