XAMPP Problem version 1.7.3 [FRIEND]

Hello! My friend got a problem with his own Retro! His version of xampp is 1.7.3 (I know, he can better switch to 1.7.1, but he is lazy) and he got a problem called:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array() expects parameter 1 to be resource

I have searched google for him, but I can't find out what the problem is.. is it the xampp version?

Yeah, I think that that is the problem... but where can I fix it? I dunno where the problem is located..

and is it on ever page if not it can be just the page

i think he will have to updata his xampp or he can just try to mass around with it
