Would you kill another of your kind to extend your life force?

I just got done re-watching an anime called Tokyo Ghoul and in the anime if you have to eat humans or ghouls every few days to survive. I got to thinking and i wonder what people would choose if you where put in that situation.

Would you kill another to ensure your own life, even if it is at the cost of your humanity?
Would you starve your self to save your humanity?

Honestly i have thought about this. even though i know the darkness of man, i still could not take anothers life, what is your take on it?

Because death is another part of life.

Humans are hard coded to survive.
I am sure in circumstances of life or death all moral values are pretty much ignored.
