Wndows or linux? And also which version of Linux? Personally I think ArchLinux is pretty sexy, but windows 7 is a good 'all rounder'.

ArchLinux is shit, try Ubuntu. And also, you can have windows and linux at the same time if you just dual boot.
Windows 7, however, is better for business and projects. Linux (Ubuntu) is better or personal stuff like Skype and Facebook.

Ubuntu is a legend, only gave arch linux a go because i had some time to kill, it good but the setup is all through the command line which takes the piss
