Because I want to know the better VALUE. I won't pay $200 if there isn't a good reason to. I currently have a 2010 MBP with 4GB ram and it works perfectly fine, and I'm getting less HDD space in the Retina one.. So I wasn't sure if I would need to buy the 8gb option. Also, I don't know much about the hardware of computers.
