Looking for a good host since hostsavor has shut down.
1. 2GB - 4GB RAM, Windows VPS
2. TCP Proxy Host

I found OVH which offers a 2gb VPS for 12.55$/month
I only found epichosts for a proxy but would like to find another host

Please give me some suggestions thank you :)

4it's is a 76% reload error.
Epichosts is a 76% one time and 403 Access is denied.

Your proxy wont even work at all now its off completely for some fuck all reason.
4it's is off as well.
But it works fine on the VPS IP. Sooooo, obviously its an issue with the proxy.
All our proxies are installed and configured the same way with every order - no one has reported any issues to me apart from you. Not an issue our end.

If you're having problems with both proxy providers, then I can't see it being a problem with the proxies. Either your host/configuration is blocking multiple incoming connections from a single IP or (assuming you're using it for Habbo purposes) you haven't configured the emulator to accept multiple connections from a single IP.

At least you could look into the issue lmao.
4IT is doing me a solid and working with me to solve the issue unlike you.

I'm not obliged to provide support for something that is unrelated to the proxy itself. Good to know that 4IT is prepared to offer such support - but I'm not. I don't know enough about retros to even try suggest a solution for you; hence I have never advertised my services to the retro community.

Google suggests that you should check the emulator config to make sure secure sessions is disabled or configured properly to allow multiple connections. I remember Phoenix used to have an 'antiddos' and 'securesessions' config - but I doubt Phoenix is even relevant anymore. (That proves how long ago it was that I last supported retros).

It's quite funny that you think your proxies are full proof when obviously there is an issue.
I definitely wont pay for it again if you cant "offer the support".

Shitty host, Shitty service.
I've already said all I need to say, including that I know very little about retros, as well as my input that the issue isn't with the proxy + all our configurations are the same for all proxies, and I even gave suggestions for a fix found from Google. But unfortunately an attitude like yours makes it extremely difficult to even offer help when you instantly try to blame the host.

If 4IT is prepared to offer that help for the price of the proxy itself, then good on them - but I don't have the time nor interest in that. If you don't like it, by all means stick with 4IT if they find a solution. Though I am super curious as to whether 4IT find out if it is actually an issue with the proxy or the retro - because I'm still certain it's the latter.

That’s a lie, I switched to your proxy before and a large ddos attack came in and you told me to switch back to my old TCP one because apparently your ddos protection is potato ? quality. I hate that you act like nothing is wrong with epic host or people don’t report issues ever. Like have you even seen your website? It’s been the same since 2017 or whatever year.

Also it’s not a retros issue when your proxy is allowed to be flooded and downed. I’m pretty sure it’s your issue? Because when I was using that cancer proxy, and someone downed it and I asked you for help and you told me to leave after I paid for the proxy and told you the reason before buying it. You said it says they’re protected and that was clearly not the case. I switched my proxy to yourproxy.nl which is a free proxy and it worked fine.

@Daltron check out yourproxy.nl it’s free

Our DDoS protection for all products and services is the same as any host that uses OVH. You get what you pay for frankly.

Nothing wrong with using a design from 2017 (if it ain't broke don't fix it).

I also never once said there's nothing wrong with our services nor have I ever said people don't report issues.

Hmmmmm "no one has reported any issues to me apart from you" said to @Daltron by you. But I guess, it looks like it was a false statement I assume?

I’m not sure why people rely on proxies these days anyways? Look at Habboon f.e, the only proxy they’ve got is the HTTP proxy that Cloudflare offers. If your server is bought from a big provider such as OVH they’ll protect you against majority of the attacks someone from Habbo is capable of doing (most resellers too because they mainly resell OVH).

I've tried OVH before with TCP Proxy and did the firewall for it and all. Used Debian 9 and Nginx for it, and it's still managed to be downed. I've tried Vultr as well. But who knows maybe I am setting it up wrong

Mostly TCP has be managed quite easily, If you lock down the HTTP enough you will not even need a TCP proxy. I am offering beta testing on the new HTTP protection.

I was talking about on the day and not in general, sorry if that wasn't clear I guess.

Honestly, if I'm such a 'shitty host' then why am I coming here trying to explain myself and resolve concerns? Any problems anyone has now is a time to say rather than just make pointlessly damaging remarks.

@NOC Did you ever find out if the issue with OP's proxy was the fault of the proxy or the retro?

I migrated the service in question to another location and so far had no reports of issues.

Yet if I try to explain myself, or offer advice/solutions, I still get told I'm a 'shit host' - can't win I suppose. Nothing I can do if no one will allow me to resolve their concerns, but can't say I haven't tried now.

Also I'm nowhere near in 'hot water' as you think - only 1% of my business is actually Habbo-related clientele so I barely lose anything by having a 'hot-watered' reputation with the retro community. Albeit I voluntarily came here to try help where I could - but, as mentioned above, no one wants the help. So I can leave with peace of mind knowing that I tried.
