Well, I have been away for quite a while. But what was I working on, you ask? I have been working on this browser-based party game which utilizes interest statistics from Google Trends!

It is currently in alpha, so bugs are inevitable. If you do find one, let me know.
I am also accepting suggestions for themes.

Rules of the game:
  • A room is given a random theme, for which there will be 5 search terms to be paired with relating to the theme.
  • A maximum of only 8 players can be in a room.
  • The player does not need to follow the theme when prompted to pair a term.
  • The popularity rating of the terms will then be retrieved from Google Trends and points will be awarded to the player based on the rating.
  • Points are multiplied each round using the formula: n*rounds.
  • The players with the most points by the end of 5 rounds wins.
  • Play to win!

P.s. It's time to change your community awards votes now, boys!

Just tried this with a few people, pleasantly surprised it's pretty fun!
Only thing I'd say is hiding the alert once the game is underway, it takes up quite a lot of space on phones.

Really fun game. Quite a few bugs though that may need addressing;

- Rounds sometimes skip
- Theme restarts in same room when you play again, not sure if thats a bug.
- Answers don't display from players then a new round starts
- All players web screens goes white before a players answer displays (Not all of the time)
