[URGENT] Windows 7 Starter Resolution [URGENT]

Hello, well I recently installed Windows 7 Starter 32 bit on my Windows XP Home Edition.
But now I have a issue..
The problem is that, I cannot change my desktop background neither my screen resolution which is freaking me out.
My screen looks majorly big, which I cant do nowt but go on forums etc..

If anyone can help me fix this problem it will be such a pleasure. If you can't just don't post, unless its a good thing which will benefit me with this issue. Thanks in advanced!

Hey there, I've tried with advanced setting using different nodes. It just fucks up the color.. when I do that.
@WindowsXP. I had windows xp and I wouldnt have moved to windows 7 if I still wanted windows xp aha.

that happend to me when i did that but i forgot what it was i beleive you would have to downgrade to windows vista or get a new video card or something

Cablink, check if all your drivers are up to date.

Thanks for all your help guys i've tried every single one of your guys suggestions, i've managed to find out how to fix it after all. I had to install a new driver I believe it was Intel 828456/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller from Dell.com. Thanks again for your help!
