Always wanted to make a PHPRetro?, well you came to the right place. Today I will be teaching you how to make a PHPRetro hotel.
What do I need to download?, you will be downloading a few things, but I suggest you download in order.
1} Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition
2} Xampp
3} MySQL ODBC Driver 5.1
4} WinRAR
5} PHPRetro 4.0.10 Stable
NOTICE, HoloEmulator will not be added, reason because this is a tutorial on how to setup PHPRetro.
1} Setting up Xampp
* Download MySQL ODBC Driver
* Download Xampp Control Panel ( That means open Xampp folder > Xampp control Panel.)
* After opening Xampp Control Panel successfully open it and click start on Both Apache and Mysql.
It should look like this:
~ Now go to
~ You must always have your xampp control opened!
~ Now go to,
~ Setup your password, this is very important so save it on your notepad!, after you typed in your password click " Change Password ".
Uploading PHPRetro
[1] Go to your Start Menu Bar then search this, C:\xampp\htdocs
[2] Select everything in that folder, then delete everything in it.
[3] Download PHPRetro, then open it. It should open with WinRAR.
[4] Now click the " Extract " button & extract it to your htdocs folder.
Setting up the database
- Go to,
- Then type in your password you made before.
- After you logged in, create a database called Holodb.
- It should look like this,
- When you have typed Holodb simply click the " Create " Button.
- You have no created a database but we need to import the retro files.
- Click on you're database ''Holodb'' found on the left side bar and then click Import on the menu bar found to you're right.
- It should look like this,
- Now click choose file and then go to you're Holograph Emulator folder.
- Go to Holograph Emulator\Resources\db\holodb.txt.
- Select Holodb.txt and then click ''go'' at the bottom right of the screen.
- This might take a while so be patient.
Installing your hotel
: Go to you're Holograph Emulator folder located on you're desktop ( or wherever you put it ).
: Go to Holograph Emulator \bin\debug\bin\mysql.ini
: Open Mysql.ini in a text document; NotePad or any other notepad software.
: Fill in all the details
: It should look like this,
: Simply change where it says password to the password you set for you're xampp control panel earlier today.
: It should look like this,
: The X it then save it!.
: Now go to localhost.
: A installer should show up for PHPRetro.
: Fill out the details, & then your DONE!
