In my opinion, which I am very valued to my own opinion ... I believe the FindRetros (RetrosList) developers should look into some different verification/new captcha other than bringing Sheep's to someones sleep, Creating faces, and Putting the pieces on the chess board. I think users looking into going on a Habbo Retro(s) should just simply vote a different way. I believe you guys should use a different voting method, other than playing a game.

What do you guys think?

Could you explain why? Other than stating "you should use a different method"? The only other real option is to use reCaptcha, which I find horrible in terms of user experience. It can also easily be cracked and abused. Confident worked for the most part, but in the past couple of days it has been unreliable. AreYouAHuman is fun, easy and quick to complete, it's also pretty straightforward. It's also backed by a company who is active and dedicated to their product.

Everything you've stated is surprisingly correct, though I believe the voting should be much quicker as I must say. I suggest a quick but "unreliable" way, maybe a quick "Click here to vote" button that logs the users IP and automatically blocks proxy IPs from voting in the system. Again, it's just my opinion.
Playing a game to vote does seem fun, but sooner or later users will get tired of seeing these kid games pop-up on their screen just to enter a servers client and/or page.

The new verification system is pretty straight forward and easy to use and more secure than most others out there.

I wish it were as simple as magically blocking proxy IPs, but it isn't.

The AreYouAHuman captcha isn't meant to be fun; it's meant to be a quick, efficient and easy to understand way of complementing a captcha that can't easily be cracked or abused, like many other captchas. I just timed myself doing it aswell, and it took me six seconds to complete, the same amount of time the old captcha took (Confident). It also pops up making it even more straight forward as to what you've suppose to do on the voting page.

True Dat @RastaLulz

EDIT; In Addition, Mate the API Verification isn't a game for entertainement.. it isn't any gta or black ops it's made just to keep robots off the server or even getting the system cracked through or hacked ... u never know ..

Surely moving two images onto another image is much quicker than using a CAPTCHA where you have to type in what it says too type, other than that the only quicker option would be to use the one click image CAPTCHA which is unreliable and will be cracked and abused within an hour of being on findretros.

DNSBLs in this day and age are not efficient. Note in that the scripts used to exploit RetrosList/FindRetros before would go through a different proxy each time, although it would ultimately depend on the quality of your proxy list if there was a DNSBL.

I've elaborated on other threads related to FindRetros about how voting sites are becoming useless , especially when there's a captcha that's moderately difficult (compared to other captcha methods). I guess it's all up to the siteowners of people who use this service if the reward outweighs the risk of losing potential members (bounce rate), or angering members of his/her site's community.

It takes the same time as the old captcha, which was approximately six seconds?
I don't believe in forced voting and if I didn't work at the hotel then I wouldn't spare my 6 seconds to vote just so I could play. With respect, I can't see any advantages to being listed on a retro topsite any more. All it seems to be is an inconvenience to users.

I could do the old one in about 2 seconds!

Well, would you rather have people trying to cheat votes more often and the captcha be a few seconds quicker than the new one or less people cheating votes and a few seconds longer than the old one?

The old captcha required you to type like 4 characters or something? Whereas the new one requires you to drag and drop 2/3 items into the correct category, which is a lot more interesting as well. Security of a product > Design of a product.

I just think Rasta should consider bringing back the original "TheHabbos" theme. It was more, I can say ... attractive?
Sadly, as far as I know, this is not possible. The old version was based on Aardvark Topsites PHP, as the current one is totally custom coded by @RastaLulz himself. Besides, the current design is more of "now", the old one was quite outdated. And it's not a site you are on the whole day. It is easy to use, and simple. Good enough for FindRetros.

CSS =/= PHP code.

Thanks, Captain. Though do you see Josh exporting a whole theme for a Aardvark system to something you made yourself? No. It would take ages. And besides, the current FindRetros version differs qua functionality from TheHabbos.
