Some people have been getting this error recently since the new update:

The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: GLFW error 65542: WGL: The driver does not appear to support OpenGL

This problem has been fixed by simply updating your graphics device! (There are also other solutions shown at the end of this tutorial.)

Step 1.) Go to "start" and search for "device manager" (this will open your device manager where you can see all sorts of configurable settings.)

You must be registered for see images attach

Step 2.) Under "display adapters", you will see your graphics device(s). Right click the one you need / use and click "update software".

Step 3.) Next, you can decide to either automatically search for a driver software or you can manually go into your folders and select one of your choice to update.
You must be registered for see images attach

From there, if you followed my directions, your selected device will be updated to it's latest version. So now all you need to do is run Minecraft v1.13+
and your client should load in without a problem!

*If this solution didn't help, try updating your Java!*

Whilst this solution may work for some people, it isn't the best solution, nor should it be recommended considering how poorly windows handles selecting adequate graphics drivers. It is always advised to manually find the driver for your specific graphics hardware. :)
These are the support sites where you can obtain the correct graphics drivers for your hardware:
