[Suggestion] Colour Match

Hello all, im pretty crap when it comes to colours and what goes with what, so could i please have some suggestions.

Im currently using the background Alam released -

So any colour ideas you feel would look good with the above background, feel free to post them up.

I will be doing the nav using CSS 3 gradients or would you suggest a plain colour? (if plain, hex code please)

I suggest adding a white line between the two, with a opacity of 16%.

No really, try with colors that have less contrast to the dark area, this would be example a blue-ish color that is a middle between light and dark if you get me.
