Speech recognition

Hi guys,

Earlier today I was giving a thought about some programs and technologies to be developed, however a speech recognition device such as Apple's voice control, Siri and etc which eventually attracted my attention. While I was overwhelmingly thinking about this, I realized that there were many open source programs out there but I do not see a detailed tutorial on how this think works or how to create a self speech recognition device. I hope someone could enlighten me. Thank you so much!

I am not sure, I did my little research and I see that C++ is a good language. But the thing is that I am not sure where to begin it with.
