Setting a mail server on VPS

Hello,
I have a VPS on which I would like to set up a mail server, so I can receive emails at a custom email. i.e. [email protected] Does anyone know how to set one up? If so, could you please PM me or post a tutorial below or add me on skype: mralex2468 and possibly set it up for me?

You can purchase custom emails, but I do not wish to do so, as I have so much space on my VPS leftover, and would like to make use of it.

I have a subdomain currently, you can still do it through subdomain as far as I know. Do correct me if I'm wrong
