I am undecided whether to buy this build.
I understand that due to the CPU the memory will only run at 1333MHz which is fine.
There is not much reason to why I need a server, just that I want a server.

Feel free to make changes and suggest anything that you may think will be a better improvement.
Take note that I am trying to be cheap...

If you want a server just to have one, you're better off buying a pre-built once instead of building one (especially with that processor).

With you actually suggesting that, I researched a little bit and found this spec at a VERY reasonable price:
Intel Xeon E3-1226 V3
1 TB HDD 7200RPM
4GB Ram DDR3 1600MHZ (Upgrade to 8GB at least)
RAID100 onboard (0/1/10/5)
450W

Cost: 319.

Something else to consider I guess, but are Lenovo a reliable computer company?

Yes, they are. They bought IBM's PC division 10 years ago and have become the 3rd largest computer maker in the world.

With that being said, my purchased build as follows:

• Xeon E3-1225 v3 3.2GHz Quad-Core (3.6 GHz Turbo)
  
• 8GB DDR3L-1600MHz (2Rx8) ECC UDIMM
  
• 500GB 7200 RPM (Apparently its WD red)
• 450W PSU (80 PLUS Platinum)
• OS: Windows Server 2012

Total cost: £290
Total savings: £433.07

Yes, this is a Lenovo ThinkServer. I will be removing the DVD-Writer because I don't need it and will be replacing it with a drive bay cover and I will be buying anti-dust cover ports for the server.
In the future I will probably add more HDDs to the server and possibly more memory.

After trying to find drive bay front panel cover for the case, I just given up and decided to buy:

Basically the same layout, but much more presentable. The price was the selling point.
