I think my school has some sort of Watchdog service running in the background of each school computer, so they can easily see what you're doing. But we have similar restrictions to what you have. The school filter is absolutely nuts too, blocking pretty innocent websites for false reasons.

I'll simply start taking my laptop and use 3G internet once I hopefully move up into sixth form.

ABTUTOR for monitoring. each computer has it... every main teachers computer has the control of em. different pass for each computer room.
Can see our screen, lock our screen, stop usb devices, mute sound, log us off, send alerts to our pc.

Our high school is apart of the government so we also have the state governments website blocks.. including utube =[[[[[[[[[[[[[

School also has "School block on websites" they blocked my flash game site tht lasted 4months without getting blocked!:SS nooo morreee gammesss.. till i make another 1 ofc. This time im being sneaky with it =]

Skeet, This can be done on any computer. Just save the CMD to a memory stick and then run it. Simple.

I cant even read the first page for posts now as its "Blocked for Content Checking" :3

TDSB is easy to open CMD. Open notepad. type command.com then save it as a .bat file and when you open it, its like CMD in all ways. :)
both ways no matter on which way you do it, cmd says "Administrator has blocked commands" or something on the lines of that.
Even when you go .bat

When i was at school our teachers had this, it was a bitch as they used to lock everything on the comp if we were not doing our work.
One way around this was to restart/turn off the computer, it used to trick their system thinking the computer was locked when in fact it had restarted.
So it couldn't be locked again until they unlock and then re-lock it (if the user was logged in as it cannot lock admin accounts)

If anyone is under the "E2BN Protex" filter for the internet, you shall need to try this.

Go to a blocked website, then click on "Teacher Comment" at the bottom. Scroll down on the next page till it says "CATERGORY". Sometimes it has "KIDSTIMEWASTING"

Great one there for a "Major" company. Retards.

In my old school it used to be like that but we all made a petition and basically they opened everything except porn, even having the word on a website will trigger it to be disabled.

Where as in my school most sites are blocked but we can install things (stupid school).

OFT: 1,500 POSTS!

Last year my school did this massive installation of new "aerohive" routers. Out of curiosity, I went onto the internet and tried this account:
user & pass: aerohive
and of course, my curiosity succeeded and I logged in. Cut a long story short, word got around the year level that I was on facebook, when it was really just the aerohive's acccount emails from curiosity. So then my teacher bolted into where I was and most times teachers come at you they walk right past you so I just minimised it instead of closing it and then she actually came up to me and told me to open my tabs, so I did and she saw everything. I denied it all though and then they took it to the IT lady for checking who did it.

A few days later, I get called into the IT office and I am interviewed by the IT lady. She also interviewed my 2 friends before to get some more info and when she interviewed me, she played me and said that my mates had turned me infact they didn't. Then a few days after that they called my mum in and I had to explain the whole story and they accused me of hacking when they where the stupid fuckheads to put one of the admin accounts the same username and password.

editing this post later so google won't cache it.
Hacked our administrators account.
Got caught :L Like full on ITs info and everything.
I got called into his office. He said and I quote
IT "Mr Talaveriah, Bypassing school blocks I see"
Me "Wot?, blocks? xD Like minecraft"
IT "STFU"

I didn't get into trouble because I said. I saw you're history.
He watches porn. Like whatdafoq?

My school fails so much that, when you go on the internet you have to login again just to access it but the admin accounts are like muser1 : password.

Every time they change the password for muser1, you can just use muser2

The schools always think they have brilliant security to everything. Our school was recently upgraded from toshiba to dell (bad mistake). The servers crashes when i carry a laptop round and files dont get saved, stuff lost ext.

We have Guardian, NET Support, Security Essentials (renamed), E2BN Protex and something else.
