that picture shows the slave node containing most of the hard drives with the router taped to the top, and a house fan keeping loads of air rushing through it.

This one is all the slave nodes plugged in and running with, another, house fan keeping them extra cool.

I like dell, if you couldn't tell.

including the host computer in another room, here's the specs:
31.5GB of RAM.
17.660TB of storage
(2)Intel i5, (1)AMD Athlon x2, (1)AMD E2, (1)Intel Pentium dual-core

I think I can run Minecraft.

The one in the middle also has a cooling pad under it because I removed the fan from it that didn't work, nor does it have a bottom cover plate.

No one could use all the RAM to full potential, that's basically impossible
Also, he could download like 16 OS's, that's how fucking ridiculous this shit is. I believe he has enough disk space, and he wouldn't be using it all to the full potential.

it's easier to make a cluster with linux
they have to be the same operating system for the cluster to work at optimal speed
linux preforms much better in environments like this
