I'm just trying to update my banner. I don't think the file is that large in the grand scheme of things. It's 1.1mb...

1mb+ seems relatively massive for the dimensions required.

For instance, you download your attached banner, it's only 25KB, which you can upload with no issue.

The actual image is a gif haha but it’s really not that big... I mean some of those other gif banners must be way bigger judging on the animations and stuff

I struggle to get my banner under 1mb too, and cant understand how some go for what seems 30 seconds

I managed to use a GIF optimiser online in the end and this got the size down considerably. Might be worth a try for you also!
