Windows 8 is a piece of shit, the search function is trash, interface is trash. Nice for tablets but not PC. I'm trying to get work done not fuck around with gay colours. Windows 7 is king for now. Windows 8 sucks or you're stupid.

I found that Windows 8 ran almost perfectly. But, it dedicated allot of RAM making it hard to play some intensive Game's :(

One of the computers I have is running Windows 8 Pro and the only difference I noticed was the start menu, which to me is more organized and isn't a hassle to work through. I wouldn't recommend it if you honestly need the 5 seconds you save navigating through Windows 7.

Let's see now, Win8 has a pretty nice UI and comes with some pretty nice features such as the large windows store that keeps on updating all the time (that's a pretty cool feature to have on your pc btw), but win8 also lags like hell (don't know if this only happens to me or not, but for me it super lags!) and sometimes for me it overheats and the fan makes so much noise just while i'm on Minecraft.

Win7 on the other hand has a nice UI too, it's fast, beautiful, doesn't come with the same large features as Win8 but is pretty good for some professional work and could get the job done, i have choosen win8 before but that was before i found out how laggy and shitty it could get (on win7 i can play Minecraft all day long and it won't even overheat and the fan wouldn't make any noise at all).

So yeah, i would go with Win7!

Note: i used to go with Win8 Pro now i'm going with Win7 Ultimate.

I would personally go with Windows 7 - just because I've never used Windows 8 before and i'm used to 7.

I, in my opinion, prefer the Windows 7 for absolute immense gaming, since ofcourse it is mostly recommended for.

But for Windows 8, I would prefer to use that for the Internet and/or having fun with the socialising feature.

I have no idea where you guys get this lagging and it's a hassle to get to start on win 8. There's a start button on your keyboard... And the start menu is much more organized, I've used them both and windows 8 is a lot faster for me than 7. But, in all it's still your preference in which you like better.

Windows 7 because it's a lot simple, but windows 8 has more stuff you can store. Looks more professional.

The reason why it lags is because your PC is shit.
