PC Recommened Hardware to run Bukkit Server

Hello!

I was wondering what people think or recommend what hardware to use for a private self hosted Bukkit Server.​

Here is what i need My Server to do:​

• • Run Bukkit Smoothly
  • Support 45+ players

Here is what i have:​

• OLD Acer Aspire case with 4 Hard-Drive slots
• 1TB SATA HD, 32GB SSD
• Power Supply
• And Sata Cords

The Whole Plan is to run a private Avatar The Last AirBender Minecraft Server.​

So Please Leave a comment of what recommended Hardware i need to run Bukkit Smoothly​

No you idiot Minecraft is coded in Java. If you want to argue about this PM me.

Operating system doesn't make a different unless you're running less than 4gb of ram on your server (dedicated 2gb to os and 2gb to Minecraft)

if its a computer for ONLY hostsing minecraft I'd go minimum 6gb ram, Intel Pentium CPU and whatever hard drive space is necessary. Using these specs you can probably host a 50 slot server, with a collection of plugins.

if you want to use linux you really only need the ram you're going to dedicate to the server + 512mb (That's generous) So I'd say 4gb linux server could do the same as above (maybe less). it's much easier to manage on a windows server although.
