as you have mentioned, you can refuel from ovh that offers a vps with ddos protection included. The protection from their date, protects over 360 gbps and is very good. Then maybe you could also buy a proxy, keep some site:

ok i gone for the ovh and install haproxy does it matter what verion i have and what os i put on

I use Centos 6.5 for proxies.
