Hey guys, I've begun development on the sockets. The sockets will be extremely high performance, holding up to and above 1,000 users. SocketAsyncEventArgs will be used in this case. Since some people use very generic code, and I use generic code, people flame my thread saying I'm copying, so I'm going to have to make this a bit less generic!​

I don't think requiring pin for :pickall is worth enough... it's going to be all hassle if we keep on entering PIN (esp. if it's long) when we clean up a room.

Yes, and the codename for the first release is "Longhorn".
Also, I need developers, or this'll take ages!

Sockets are going good. This software will not be Open Source.. it will also be obfuscated! Only people that are well known/developers get BETA licenses! The free version will be a buggy testbed for the paid version, essentially. Stable free versions wont have everything you want. Sadly.​

So this means.. it's going to be like Phoenix? We need to pay for the license to unlock all features, but we'll have a buggy testbed of the paid version if we get the free version?

Vineen, it'll work out like this:
Paid Version:
  • Extremely Stable
  • Latest features
  • Essentially a stable release (RTM, etc.)
Free Version:
  • Not OSS.
  • Executable only, code obfuscated.
  • Buggy testbed, less features (Though it's a buggy testbed.. geddit?)
Anyway, yes, it'll be like Phoenix yet there's a free version!

Paid Version Extensive Overview:
The paid version can't be cracked using special methods like:
Verification of License Keys using a custom encryption/decryption method.
Verification by connecting to a specific server, if the connection is looped back to anywhere, it will detect it, and still as a precaution if you DO get by the inability to debug, it has its own protocol and it has to get a certain message, so if you even try to change certain variables/jumps, it's going to check the buffer for messages, I got this.

Also, your license will be double-linked to a forum account and your license key, and the license key can only be de-crypted by your "key".
Also, your license will be further secured by only allowing certain IPs using the server.
Also, if you even bypass this, I tell you I'll have a wicked arse backdoor, better than :amiaaron, I'll just say it'll inject a:
  • RAT
  • Rootkit
  • Trojan
  • Worm
  • Trojan Horse
  • Also, once the command is run it disables your antivirus service.
Also, to assure you, I can only use this command on servers who's IP doesn't match (x), so I can't use it on legitimate servers!

Writing these fucking sockets is like trying not to watch a Harry Potter movie 2 times in a row just to make sure I didn't miss anything... hopefully ready by tommorow. The sockets will most likely be borrowed, and they'll be sold, sorry about that, I'll rename it under a different license since the person who I'm borrowing the sockets from hasn't put a license on the code, I always get the loopholes ;)

Just another person trying to make more money? We already have one Aaron, we don't need another.

I still wish you good luck with your server, and maybe I can make a CMS for it.

2. Would you like an emulator that's from scratch with NOTHING being stolen from others?
3. I also have school duties, etc. so I need pay for my time. Also, about that, I'm SURE DevBest won't sponsor me, unless I see RastaLulz giving me a good VPS etc. what's the point. Also! Another Aaron? I'm not like him, he does it for the money, I do it for the people (I just want money too.. it'll be less money.)

2) No, I wouldn't like it from stratch. We have good Emulator bases out there, so why not start with with of them and progress?
3) You should be doing it to learn, not for the money.

ZMagenta.. the forum will be support based. Also, I am doing it to learn, and for the people. I'm starting from scratch. Anyway, I got an essay to write.
