I have tried to figure out how to edit the buttons on the hotel view landing, with no success...
I know how to edit the button text and the images, but I am struggling to edit the URL itself.

Is it in the database or the external_variables?

For this, you have to edit your external_variables, go in "landing.view.dynamic.slot." you have slot.1 to slot.6, if you want to enable a slot you have to put on "slot.NUMBER.conf" parameters, which you have to edit on your external_flash_text

Exemple : in your external_variables :

landing.view.dynamic.slot.4.conf=2016-11-20 00:00,val17back
landing.view.dynamic.slot.4.layout=
landing.view.dynamic.slot.4.separator=false
landing.view.dynamic.slot.4.title=
landing.view.dynamic.slot.4.widget=widgetcontainer

And in your external_flash_texts
