Plugging in the USB to my laptop and it won't appear

Hello Devbest users.

Today I'm experiencing a problem with Ubuntu. So I've figured out to just step back to Windows but for that I will need to plug in my USB and run Unetbooting with the .ISO that I've downloaded. But when I plug it it in it justs blinks a few time then stops and a USB won't appear aynwhere and it's really bothering me.

So I ran the following commands and it gave me this:

You just dug yourself a hole by using unetboot, it sucks really bad. Why didn't you just partition it? dual boot?

Did not use uNetbooting yet just was about to but it doesn't want to appear even though the USB does blink a few times then stops I'm utterly confused!

Thanks for your reply mate but that's not how far my knowledge goes maybe explain more?

Your usb device 'sdb' has no valid partition information if you had files on your usb drive it is probably corrupt do you want to format it and start a new?
 
How to fix your usb by formatting
1. Create a new partition
Code: 
 sudo fdisk /dev/sdb
Then enter 'o' to create a new partition table
Then enter 'p' to create a new primary partition
Then keep clicking enter until you reach the menu again
Then enter 'w' to Write changes and exit

2. Format new disk
Code: 
 sudo mkfs.vfat /dev/sdb1

3. Remount the disks
Code: 
 sudo mount -a

For future reference the problem was the usb drive was corrupted and he fixed it by installed gparted
Code: 
 sudo apt-get install gparted

And created a new partition? on the usb drive
