Everyone has to start somewhere even if it's generic at least they are willing to try and learn. Considering some people go into development and never even open. A basic hotel could be better than none.

I'd recommend you to go ahead and pull down a more recent version of Atom CMS. My guess is you followed Joaowars tutorial, which contains a pre-packed version of Atom that're very very old.
