I'm thinking about buying a Nokia Lumia 620 [Colour not yet decided] and I was wondering whether anyone had a personal review or some information regarding faults or problems?
I'm on a tight budget and only have up to £150 to spend.
I was originally going to buy the 520 but I've seen reviews and discovered that the 620 (as it should) is much preferable.

Is the phone worth its value?
I'll be using it mainly for Snapchat/KIK/Facebook/Skype/Music/Pictures.

I like the design of lumia, but android phone are more cheaper.
I was considering an Android phone but I'd much rather try a Windows 8 phone.
Like I said, I'll be using it mainly just for Skype, Snapchat, KIK, Facebook, taking pictures and listening to music

First you need to ask yourself "What will I use this phone mostly for?"

If you're looking towards the application structure and features of a smartphone, you best go ahead and move on to Apple or Android. Windows does not support the application market as much as Apple and Android do. They are far behind, so applications are weakly developed for this company. I'm not saying that it will pick up, but they are far behind from Apple and Android.

I have had this phone before, and I hated it.

There was nothing unique about this for me, it was just another phone, it lacks features and customization. I mean you can change the color of the background or choose from "White/Black" background - but honestly its not as customize-able as they advertise.

As far as calling and texting, this has the BEST phone quality for voice calling, it is very crisp and clear and never have an issue with hearing people. They're camera is fairly decent, I'd prefer the camera over Android and Apple any day. They have a nice design, but what good is a nice looking phone if the internal structure lacks the features everyone is asking for?

Facebook application on there is even terrible, the twitter one is fairly developed but needs much improvement.

That is just my input, I've had this phone and I've now got the tablet and I hate both. I am selling the tablet because of how awful it is.

Thanks for the input!
I'm not looking for a great application market as I already own an iPad and can download any games etc on that. From what I know, all of the applications I'm wanting to install are all available via the Windows App Store.

The colour doesn't bother me as such. I'm hoping to get either a blue (as shown) or black menu and case.
I'm getting the phone with a sim contract so I'll be using it for texting and phone calls quite often, so I'm glad to hear that the call quality is good. Also, this will hopefully help with Skype because I'll be using that quite frequently.

The Facebook application isn't too big of a deal as I've got the application installed on my iPad and I won't be using that as frequent as other apps.
I'll look into the Facebook app design though, thanks for the heads up.
:)

Yeah, if you only are going to use the stated things, buy it.

Either way, I wouldn't. The Nokia Lumia series wasn't really a success, they don't have many satisfied customers, but they do have a lot of complaints regarding the Lumia. Another reason why you shouldn't buy it, is that Nokia soon will die, and then you can't get any technical support.

I would buy a Galaxy instead.

Sorry if this is a little off-topic but I'm in the same situation as you (sort of) as I'd like a cheap budget phone and I've also been looking at this myself. I also need it for the exact same reasons as you, so, if you do decide to get this let me know if it's any good ey? :p

It's either get a moped for my birthday or a phone, still unsure yet.

Ordered it yesterday. If I get it sometime soon I'll definitely give you my honest opinion.
P.S.
If you have the money for your licence and test then I'd personally choose the ped.
My mate got a ped for his 16th in September and I've been on it a few times.

Yeah I mean it's more practical for me to get a ped but I'd like a new phone also :p
