PC No sound?

Hey all,

So I just got a new laptop, installed Java and Minecraft but I get no sound apart from the sound when you break a block. Someone help.

If it makes any noise at all, then there is nothing wrong with your sound for the game...

any fixes? Is it to to with my java?

edit: It seems to work after a while but takes a good 5 minutes to load every time I go into a new world

i know how to fix this first do this step.

Start>Control Panel>Performance and maintanaince>Administrative tools>Computer management>device management>sound, video and games controllers>click on your speaker drivers> goto drivers tab>update drivers.
