New DevBest Logo?

Well I mean the logo is great and all, but a games controller next to the logo when really and truly a wide majority of DevBest aren't even console players? Not forgetting the fact it's a PlayStation 3 controller which just strikes the fact of it being old!

My suggestion, a simple yet sleek text logo which actually represents the users of DevBest. I also liked the old logo to this one.

What do ya' think?
Also I'd say something a bit more Habbo would be great. (It's a joke)

I'm not the best, there are greater designers on here I'd love to see this become a sort of competition or whatever and let them have a try.
But, I've come up with something, I couldn't decide on the colour scheme so I'll post them all.

The concept of the logo is around coding, there are tags on each end to represent tags used in programming language, within the Best is a clipping of actual PHP code, to sort of reiterate the influence of coding on DevBest. Also, each clipping is in a different position due to my photoshop crashing after creating the first logo, silly photoshop or coincidence of a fire logo? I'm not sure.

No, that would be quite annoying, and wouldn't work for things like merchandise.

this is actually not bad. maybe the 2nd dev (teal) with the 3rd dev green color for the "best" part combined

This actually isn't bad at all, personally I'd attempt to use a less vibrant, more neutral colour for the word DEV in the logo though.

Thanks, yeah when it comes to colours I turn completely indecisive.

Thanks, yeah I wasn't too sure on the gradient colours I tried quite a few but I might revamp the logo completely but keep the concept.

I kind of like the logo, it's also original.

Not sure if changing the logo entirely would be bad for DevBest, taking Google for example, they've used that for years.
