(looking for) An Affordable, fast and sexy laptop?

Okay so basically I'm in the process of starting my own business and one of the assets I'm required to purchase is a new laptop to increase portability and productivity of the business.

The grant I am applying for (+ personal finance) will leave me with around £1,400 ish and I'm looking to spend around £500-600 (max) on the laptop. I've been after a macbook air as it's ultra portable but I'm not really looking for an older version and the cheaper ones are obviously older.

Preferably something that's fast and lightweight would do me (around 13" screen would be good as well). I've done my research and found a few but I'm not sure if there any other alternatives.

Let me know if you have any suggestions/first-hand experience below.

If your soul purpose is for work then a Macbook would be perfect.
I own a Macbook Pro 2013 Retina and I live by it. Use it for university, gaming and djing.
