Double click the link and see what file it’s trying to fetch them from, then delete them if they’re not needed.

Which copy of BrainCMS are you using, as I've never had this problem out of the box, its added an extra '/' onto the url infront of the .png extension for some strange reason.

Had this problem as well, although mine was not with images as such mine was whenever I was going to "localhost" it would automatically go to "localhost//" it was weird
